Bakar BioEnginuity Hub Campus Programs and Neurotech Collider Lab Rebrand as “Bakar Labs Campus Programs”

Bakar Labs is entering an exciting new chapter as it continues to evolve into a powerhouse for innovation across a range of industries. Once solely recognized as a biotech incubator, Bakar Labs is now broadening its horizons, expanding into multiple locations and launching a new climate tech vertical, Bakar Climate Labs. This growth marks an important milestone in our journey to advance both biotechnology and climate solutions.

As part of this transformation, the organization is undergoing a rebrand that designates Bakar Labs as the parent organization overseeing both Bakar Bio Labs and Bakar Climate Labs. This shift aligns with our expanding mission to drive innovation across a wider array of sectors, including biotechnology, climate technology, and beyond.

For years, programs that promote student involvement in social impact entrepreneurship such as the Neurotech Collider Lab and BioEnginuity Impact Grant have operated under the Bakar BioEnginuity Hub (BBH) Campus Programs. To better incorporate BBH Campus Programs with the larger Bakar Labs ecosystem, these programs will be integrated under a new umbrella: Bakar Labs Campus Programs. Links to these programs will soon be available on the Bakar Bio labs website. The Bakar BioEnginuity Hub now refers solely to the building in which Bakar Bio Labs is housed, also known by some as Woo Hon Fai Hall. 

This strategic move will help streamline operations and enhance the capacity for new academic initiatives, including programs in climate tech and other emerging areas. Bakar Labs Campus Programs will continue to foster innovation and collaboration, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and researchers to address the world’s most pressing challenges.

As Bakar Labs continues to scale and diversify, its commitment to supporting groundbreaking ideas and advancing transformative technologies remains unwavering. The rebrand represents not only a new chapter but a broader vision for a future driven by innovation, sustainability, and social impact.
